ABOUT MC AUXILIARY
David Aponte Jr. aka MC Auxiliary (aka Gorgeous Bates respectively), born 1996, is an Emcee/Rapper based in Southwest Florida.
Finding inspiration in 80’s/90’s Hip Hop from his father, David Sr.’s CD collection & his cousin’s underground hip hop taste, he decided early on in middle school to pursue the challenge of embarking on a career making music.
Honing his craft all of grade school, he would continue onto after graduation to bring into fruition his brain child: “Obscure Genetix” – A rap group of fellow classmates from high school that included Sensei (Rey Reyes) & Antonio Gibbs (Gilbert Cubias). From 2015 – 2018, they would remain active until an untimely separation due to creative differences.
From 2019 onward, AUX would continue on as a solo act & proceed to experiment & sharpen his style via shows & open mics, slowly building a catalog with singles, remixes & freestyles. With looming aspirations to release a debut project, the overarching theme of Auxiliary goes as follows: “AUX For The Win”, meaning even when you suffer loss, you take the good with the negative & overcome failure. This motto has been carried on since OGX’s inception & falling out & is the creed to what makes AUX, AUX.
Quoted saying “I’ll stop when I die” is really all one needs to know about the hunger & willingness to keep contributing to the very culture that inspired him to begin with.
